English Reader, Positive
English is a bi-lingual (English-Hungarian) textbook for false beginners.
It is ideal to refresh past knowledge. We intend to have two other levels in
the series (a level B2 language exam preparatory book and a true beginner book both with
workbooks.) What makes this volume "positive"?
- Lots of conversations not only boring grammar drills (though all necessary grammar for
the B2 level included)
- Help on how to learn easier
- Mostly positive messages in the texts and exercises
- Modern language use in real-life situations that can be utilized on the first trip to
another country or at work
- References to various accents (British, American, Australian and Canadian)
- Information on (cultural) situations that can lead to misunderstanding
- Internet support for individual learners on the forum of the series
This book is for those who need to speak current English for work or studies and are
fed up with the types of textbooks that would get them to fluency in only years of
studies.
277 A5 pages, color illustration throughout. It is sold for approximately 9 Euros in
Hungary and it is our absolute bestseller publication.
The book is for people with Hungarian mother tongue. Translation and republishing
rights can be purchased from the international copyright holder, World English School LLC.

English Reader, Tests 4 Fun #1
is a humorous mono-lingual textbook. There are some notes at the end of the book and
the introduction is in Hungarian but the exercises are all in English. The book was
printed three times already since 2007.
- There are various tests (comprehension, grammar, vocabulary)
- The funny content can motivate students
- Suitable for students on A2-B1 level but even B2 students can find loads of new
information
- Ideal for those who learned English for a period of time and would like to retain their
knowledge
- Ideal supplement for any "regular" textbook
- Since it is relatively short, the book can be incorporated into classroom work easily
- There are (Hungarian) notes about some differences of British and American English as
well as references to both multiple meanings of words (that make some jokes funny) and
typical translation errors at the end of the book.
80 A5 pages, black and white illustration throughout. It is sold for about 6 Euros in
Hungary, 6 Euros + postage within the EU. You may inquire about
wholesale orders.

Unofficial
English is a collection of vulgar (slang) expressions that can help those
who would like to know what they hear in some movies or (especially rap) songs. Due to
the explicit nature of the text we marked it with an "over 18" sign -- a
questionable move, as probably younger teenagers are the ones who use such vocabulary most
extensively.
To lighten up the content we added illustration (not pornography, though) and jokes.
At the end of the book there are some tests for those who would like to know how
well they learned the terms.
The book is completely mono-lingual except the copyright page and a short warning about
the explicit content inside which are present in English as well.
160 A6 pages, black and white illustration throughout. It
is sold for about 6 Euros in Hungary, 7 Euros + postage within the EU. You may inquire about

"a Mester"
(The Sage) by Dee Than-Liu (pen name of a contemporary Hungarian
author) is the first fiction pocketbook published by our company. It is part of a series
(the third out of seven volumes) about the life of a fictional character who
- starts out to be an exceptional child (volume 1)
- has his problems finding his ways (volume 2)
- works as a top executive officer for a despotic boss (current volume)
- creates his own business empire (volume 4)
- studies the universal truths of the universe (volume 5)
- teaches the masses (volume 6)
- gains political influence and control (volume 7)
The reader can find lots of references to old Chinese stories and modern Western
business life. Religious teachings conflict with business management theories and
old leadership (management) styles conflict with modern business understanding.
As the content is very subtle, those reading it in the US can identify elements of old
capitalism versus new and in post-Soviet cultures the old system versus the new. Chinese
and other Asian people will find a lot of content coming from their culture. Thus it
is a truly global reading. With good critiques this relatively new book is quickly
approaching the top selling spot among our publications.
215 A6 pages, black and white illustration throughout. It is sold for about 6 Euros in
Hungary. We sell reprint and translation rights. |
