1.
From President Myer.I was blessed with the opportunity to spend two weeks on a trip to Vilnius, Lithuania, and Vienna, Austria. While I was in Lithuania, I worked with a group of Christians from the United States who conducted a Christian camp for young people from Vilnius, Panerzys, Klaipeda, Alytus, Bagbtai and Silute. Also attending was a group from Minsk, Belarus (Brother Tommy Gaither from the Walnut Church of Christ in Texarkana led this group). A group of 10 went from the Gateway Church here in Pensacola. This was the seventh year for the camp and it was highly successful -- 140 campers and staff. If you have an interest in seeing that colorful group, you can click on this web site: http://www.zyworld.com/Lithuania_Reporter/July05.htm . While in Vilnius, I worshipped with the church in Vilnius and talked to several young people who will be students at GCU this fall. After leaving Vilnius, the Pensacola delegation traveled to Vienna for a few days.

2. Renewing Old Acquaintances in Vienna
While in Vienna, President Myer met with Ervin Nemeth from Mako, Hungary. Ervin was a student of his in Vienna several years ago and President Myer has maintained contact with Ervin and his family. Ervin is an interpreter for business men in Hungary and is an English instructor in Mako. Ervin and President Myer discussed ways to spread the news about Global Christian University to the Hungarian student population.
President Myer also met with Richardo Gonzalez Portal while he was in Vienna. They explored ways to expand the ministry of GCU in the northern part of the city of Vienna. Richardo works for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the United Nations building. He graciously provided a tour of the facility for President Myer and explained the needs of families near the U.N. community. There are many families who come to work for the U.N. and other related agencies. They are in the area for several years and many of them would like to receive a Western education which is taught in English. Richardo and President Myer will work together to help GCU meet this need.
President Myer also met with Lynn Camp who is the European Director of Eastern European Mission. This ministry is serving more people than ever and continues to be an asset in building the Kingdom in Eastern Europe. We rejoice with them in their expanding printing ministry and their very successful outreach in Russia.

3. Special Prayers This Week
Each week we receive more applications for study and more requests for information. This week, particularly, we ask that you pray for these students who are seeking. They have a genuine desire to receive a Christian education via the Internet. Each need is different, but each one is special and we ask your prayers as we strive to meet the needs of each one who comes to us.

4. Correction
Last month we listed our donors for the previous few months. Under the heading "Memorial Gifts" was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Yates. It was in memory of Robert Reed, not Roberta Reed. We apologize for the error.

5. We are Grateful for Gifts
Your gifts make it possible for us to teach and encourage our students. Please be as generous as you can in the next few months. Typically, summer gifts are fewer but our needs go on just the same. We acknowledge each gift promptly and we encourage you to make Memory Gifts and Honor Gifts as such occasions arise.
For those of you who have thought of sending a gift, please do so before the end of this month. It is expensive to grow our outreach. We need your help.
You may send your gift to Global Christian University, 245 Brent Lane, Pensacola, FL 32506. Or you may go to our web site www.gchristianu.org and click on "Make a Donation" on our home page. That will take you to PayPal -- a safe and secure site where you may donate with your credit card. Either way, we pray that God will bless your generous heart.
If you want to give us a call, we would be happy to hear from you. 850-478-4828

We must continue our mission. People are waiting.
